The Teachers Service Commission spearheaded the implementation of the School-Based Teacher Support System (SBTSS) initiative under the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQIP), which was implemented from 2017 to 2024. The intervention aimed at enhancing proficiency in pedagogical practices and mastery of the content for teachers of Science, Mathematics, and English in secondary education.
